Who I am

First the person, then the context.

  1. Since 2010, with people through music

    I am a bass player, a music educator, a boomwhackers trainer, and a DISC communication trainer. The bass shaped how I work with groups: listen to the whole band, hold the pulse, and leave space for others. I started when nobody in Poland worked with boomwhackers on such a scale. I helped create the Polish name Bum Bum Rurki, accepted by the American manufacturer as an official name alongside Boomwhackers. Today I show how a simple instrument opens up a group, activates collaboration, and turns play into a meaningful conversation.

  2. Beyond training

    My most important role is being a happy man and a dad. I am a sound engineer by education, and day to day a lover of life and a coffee enthusiast. In my work with groups, I also call myself a smile collector, because even the saddest eyes light up when everyone starts playing together. I also run cooking classes for children as a hobby. One idea ties it all together: savouring life, communication, and people.

How I work

Boomwhackers are simple, but working with a group is not.

  1. Movement

    It activates attention and lets people enter the experience with their whole body, before the first words about communication. Movement lowers the tension in the room, loosens the group up, and makes the next exercises come naturally.

  2. Music and rhythm

    A shared pulse gives a group a simple language for action, where everyone instantly hears the effect of working together. There is nothing to explain, the group hears on its own when it plays together and when it drifts out of sync.

  3. Shared action

    Tasks show how we listen to ourselves and to others. The colour of a tube can become a starting point for talking about behavioural styles.

  4. Conversation and reflection

    We turn the experience into insights that the group takes back to its daily work, in the classroom or in the team.

Journey and evidence

Four milestones from the first workshops to my work today.

  1. The beginning

    2010

    The first boomwhackers trainings for teachers. As a bass player and music educator, I start showing how simple tubes bring order to group work, as the first one to do it on such a scale in Poland. Since then, around 4,000 teachers from all over Poland have taken part in my training.

  2. Guinness World Record

    2016

    661 people played boomwhackers together at an event for P&G Europe Planning Service Centre in Poland on 19 April 2016. I led it as the main conductor and the creator of the performance concept.

  3. Second Guinness World Record

    2019

    A second Guinness World Record, set while playing on mobile phones instead of tubes.

  4. MaxieDISC model

    2023

    MaxieDISC consultant certificate after training, a mentoring session, and an exam. I work with the DISC model, which describes behavioural styles, not personality types.

Are boomwhackers just for fun?
Fun is the starting point, but working with boomwhackers develops listening, rhythm, cooperation, and communication. What matters most is what the group starts to notice about itself while working together.

The record project brought 661 people together at once. We settle the group size, venue, and timing in the first conversation about the event.
