Who I am

First the person, then the context.

  1. Since 2010, with people through music

I am a boomwhackers trainer, a music educator, and a DISC communication trainer. I started when nobody in Poland worked with boomwhackers on such a scale. Today I show how a simple instrument opens up a group, activates collaboration, and turns play into a meaningful conversation.

  2. Beyond training

My most important role is being a happy man and a dad. Beyond that, I am a bass player, a sound engineer by education, a lover of life, and a coffee enthusiast. I also run cooking classes for children as a hobby. One idea ties it all together: savouring life, communication, and people.

How I work

Boomwhackers are simple, but working with a group is not.

  1. Movement

It activates attention and lets people enter the experience with their whole body, before the first words about communication. Movement lowers the tension in the room, loosens the group up, and makes the next exercises come naturally.

  2. Music and rhythm

A shared pulse gives a group a simple language for action, where everyone instantly hears the effect of working together. There is nothing to explain, the group hears on its own when it plays together and when it drifts out of sync.

  3. Shared action

Tasks show how we listen to ourselves and to others. The colour of a tube can become a starting point for talking about behavioural styles.

  4. Conversation and reflection

We turn the experience into insights that the group takes back to its daily work, in the classroom or in the team.

Timeline

From the first workshops to four paths of work.

  1. 2010

The first boomwhackers trainings for teachers. As a bass player and music educator, I start showing how simple tubes bring order to group work, as the first one to do it on such a scale in Poland.

  2. 2016

I lead an event as its main conductor and the author of the performance concept, during which the historic Guinness World Record in group boomwhacker playing was set.

  3. 2023

MaxieDISC consultant certificate after training, a mentoring session, and an exam. Since then, I have used the DISC model in individual sessions, report debriefs, and team trainings.

  4. Today

Four connected paths of work: teacher training, workshops for children and young people, corporate events, and DISC sessions and trainings.

Frequently asked questions

These answers help you check the fit before getting in touch.

Are boomwhackers just for fun?
Fun is the starting point, but working with boomwhackers develops listening, rhythm, cooperation, and communication. What matters most is what the group starts to notice about itself while working together.
What experience and evidence does Dawid Gacek have?
More than 4,000 teachers trained since 2010, a historic Guinness World Record with 661 people in 2016, and the MaxieDISC consultant certificate from 2023.
Who does Dawid work with?
I work with teachers and schools, children and young people, companies and agencies, as well as teams and leaders interested in communication and the DISC model.
How do boomwhackers connect with DISC?
Boomwhackers activate the group and make behaviour visible in action. Afterwards, we can name what happened during the exercises and turn those observations into a conversation about communication and behavioural styles.
How can you invite Dawid to work with you?
The best way is to call or message me on WhatsApp. Tell me who the meeting is for, what you need, and when it could take place. Together, we'll work out the format, date, and practical details.
